tried this first time,my rio was on orange,i entered imei,hit calculate and then put o2 sim into my phone then entered the code and now my rio is unlocked, many thanks for this great little tool

PUK code belongs to SIM, not to phone. Ask your service provider, they’ll release it to customer.

It generated a code that seemed to work for me and my Orange rio. thanks.
But it now says SIM inactive if I put a vodafone SIM in
and says emergency calls only if I put a 3 SIM in.
It no longer asks for a NP code.
Any ideas.

Well spotted. Yes the vodafone SIM is an invalid SIM. I am told that the phone is not compatible with 3′s 3G network.
